Job Description

Description:

The commodity truck driver position is a person who ensures that potato by product is loaded, transported and delivered to the cattle feed yard and outside sale locations in a safe and consistent manner.

Reports To:

Feedyard Manager Duties and Responsibilities Essential Drive commodity truck Load, transport and unload potato waste Maintain communication with commodity truck supervisor and feed yard manager. Fill out and complete the daily checklist on truck. Perform pre and post trip inspections. Maintain Beef Northwest Feeders safety standards. Adhere to BNW's HACCP standards. Clean up spills that may occur at the potato plants, on the highway and at the feed yard. Ability to put chains on in inclement weather. Perform maintenance on commodity trucks and trailers.

Requirements:

Qualifications Must have good time management skills. Must have a valid CDL and health card. Must be able to operate semi-truck and trailer safely and efficiently. Must be able to problem solve. Typical Physical Requirements Requires climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, overhead reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motions.
