Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Class A CDL Flatbed Company Driver and take charge of delivering freight efficiently and safely across diverse routes. In this role, you'll operate tractor-trailers equipped for flatbed loads, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining the highest safety standards. Your expertise in driving and load securement will be vital in transporting a variety of freight, including specialized cargo such as refrigerated trailers, tankers, and roll-off trucks. Duties Safely operate Class A commercial tractor-trailers with manual and automatic transmissions across assigned routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Load, secure, and unload freight on flatbed trailers, utilizing proper tie-down techniques to ensure cargo stability during transit. Handle specialized freight such as refrigerated loads, tankers, or roll-off containers when required. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer to identify maintenance needs or safety issues. Manage route driving efficiently to meet delivery schedules while optimizing fuel consumption. Assist with load & unload processes using forklifts or other equipment when necessary, ensuring proper handling of freight. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly. Qualifications Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record. Proven experience operating tractor-trailers, including flatbeds and refrigerated trailers. Proficiency in manual and Automatic transmission truck driving and handling various types of freight such as freight loads. Familiarity with load securement techniques for flatbed cargo and experience with route driving logistics. Ability to operate additional equipment like forklifts or dump trucks is a plus. Strong understanding of safety protocols related to commercial driving and freight handling.
