Responsibilities Complete scheduled deliveries and pickups Perform and log daily truck and/or trailer inspections before departure and end of the day Document the freight's condition before departure and proof of delivery Log hours of service, distance driven, rest stop durations, all fuel, and expenses Communicate any delays due to road conditions, accidents, or breakdowns to dispatch Load and unload materials Ensure load securement, including the installation of corner boards to protect products while in transport Match shipments to sales invoices and inventorying loads Use Samsara to ensure compliance, safety, efficiency, and customer service Comply with Federal (FMCSA) and State (DOT) trucking rules and regulations Job Requirements Passionate about excellent service & teamwork Prefer a minimum of 3 years of driving experience Dedicated to safety, on and off the road Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions Class A Driver's License and acceptable driver's abstract Experience in the construction/roofing business is an asset Ability to drive trucks with a manual transmission Exceptional time management and problem-solving skills Physically able to complete job tasks such as climbing ladders, pulling and throwing tarps, and lifting a maximum of 100 lbs.
