Flatbed Truck Driver (Class A CDL) At Sky City Trucking LLC, we take pride in providing safe, reliable, and professional logistics services. We are a growing, family owned and operated company that values teamwork, safety, and integrity. We are seeking an experienced and safety-conscious CDL A Flatbed Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to safety, professionalism in customer interactions, and thorough knowledge of DOT regulations. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Operate a flatbed trailer , including loading, strapping, tarping (if required), and securing loads in compliance with all applicable state and federal transportation laws. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment safety and full DOT compliance . Safely transport loads over required routes, adhering to all traffic laws and observing all company and regulatory safety standards. Skillfully maneuver truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas, following yard or dock personnel directions. Assist with loading and unloading goods and materials. Maintain and submit accurate documentation , including bills of lading, invoices, and shipping paperwork, upon route completion. Conduct routine vehicle maintenance checks (oil, water, fuel, tires, air pressure); promptly report any equipment issues or malfunctions. Arrange trailers in the yard for optimal loading and dispatch efficiency. Deliver excellent customer service while representing the company in a professional and courteous manner. Adhere to all company safety policies and immediately report any incidents, accidents, or damaged equipment. Qualifications and Requirements Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) . Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience ; flatbed experience preferred. Knowledge of DOT regulations and local/regional routes in Washington and Oregon and Idaho. Clean driving record available for review. Must pass a DOT pre-employment drug screen and background check. Current, valid DOT medical card required. TWIC card preferred (not required). Preferred Skills and Experience Experience hauling building materials , fencing products, or similar loads. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Physical and Work Requirements Ability to lift and secure materials up to 75 lbs and climb onto trailers as needed. Comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions. Flexibility to work extended hours, early mornings, or occasional weekends as required by delivery schedules. May require occasional overnight trips depending on route assignments. Compensation and Benefits (Optional — add this section if applicable) Competitive hourly or mileage-based pay (DOE).
