We are currently seeking a CDL-Radiation Safety Specialist to join our growing team! This position plays a critical role in the ownership and oversight of radioactive waste processing and management, ensuring regulatory compliance and safety excellence across all activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform laboratory inspections and survey instrument calibrations and repairs Test leak test samples from customer sites for contamination Safely disassemble source holders to remove sealed sources for disposal Operate and maintain portable and laboratory radiation monitoring equipment Maintain certifications for packaging and transporting sources in accordance with state and federal agencies Develop and implement improved processes to increase efficiency and reduce compliance risk Prepare reports and maintain detailed records of waste management and compliance activities Follow standard operating procedures and meet assigned deadlines May also include: Coordinate with OnCare's EHS Manager and customer facilities for sealed nuclear source removals Transport sources and waste drums to designated facilities and disposal sites Travel up to 50-60% as needed for onsite support

Required Qualifications:

Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required Forklift operation experience (certification preferred) At least 2 years of mechanical troubleshooting experience preferred Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) Strong communication, math, and interpersonal skills

Environmental Exposure:

Work around sealed radioactive sources Exposure to chemicals, fumes, and varying weather conditions Electrical and mechanical hazards Standard office conditions

Physical Requirements:

Frequent walking, standing, squatting, stooping, and lifting up to 50 lbs Use of ladders, scaffolds, personnel lifts, and confined space entry Repetitive use of keyboard and manual dexterity May require use of respirator and PPE OnCare Digital Assets is an
