Job Description
STG Logistics (Formally XPO) is seeking a safety-focused CDL A Truck Driver to haul containerized and intermodal freight within our nationwide logistics network. In this role, you'll operate late model equipment, complete pre and post trip inspections, and follow DOT and FMCSA regulations while delivering to ports, rail ramps, and distribution centers. You'll coordinate closely with dispatch to ensure on time service, maintain accurate logs and paperwork, and provide professional customer service. Responsibilities Operate CDL A tractor-trailers to transport intermodal and containerized freight safely and efficiently Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and document equipment condition Comply with DOT, FMCSA, and company safety policies and hours-of-service regulations Maintain accurate logs, delivery documentation, and electronic records Coordinate with dispatch and terminal teams to meet on-time pickup and delivery schedules Secure loads according to company and regulatory standards Provide professional, courteous customer service at ports, rail ramps, and distribution centers Report incidents, delays, and equipment issues promptly to operations Support continuous improvement and performance goals in a safety-first culture Represent STG Logistics and its values while operating across the regional network Required Skills CDL Class A driving Tractor-trailer operation DOT and FMCSA compliance Electronic logging devices (ELDs) Pre-trip and post-trip inspections Intermodal and container hauling Load securement Defensive driving Route planning and time management Basic vehicle troubleshooting
