Job Description
Job Summary The Cashton School District is accepting applications for a part-time van driver for student transportation. The position currently requires approximately 140 miles per day, consisting of a morning route from Cashton to La Crosse and back in the morning and then again in the afternoon on days school is in session. Candidates requesting just the morning route or just the afternoon route will be considered. Interested candidates need a valid driver license, appropriate background check, and a good driving record. Ensure the vehicle is well-maintained and perform routine inspections before and after each trip. Assist students to ensure their safety at all times. Communicate effectively with students and supervisor to addressing any concerns. Maintain accurate records of trips. Adhere to all traffic laws and district policies. Ensure timely arrivals and departures. Monitor and maintain appropriate student conduct as needed. Qualifications Valid driver's license with a safe driving record The ability to communicate clearly and effectively Ability to maintain professional conduct while on or off duty Must be able to pass background checks
