Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Daily Route Driver to operate established round-trip routes between Northeast Wisconsin and Illinois. This position offers consistent miles, familiar customers, and regular daily schedules, hauling primarily paper products in a 53' dry van trailer. Drivers return home daily and work with a stable customer base, minimizing brokered freight and maximizing route consistency. Monday through Friday Early morning departures, typically between 3:00 AM and 6:00 AM Average 12-13 hour round-trip day Home daily No-touch freight 53' Dry Van Trailer Essential Duties & Responsibilities Safely operate a tractor-trailer on dedicated routes between Wisconsin and Illinois.
Transport primarily:
Finished paper products from Wisconsin to Illinois. Recycled paper materials from Illinois back to Wisconsin. Complete daily round-trip routes averaging 400-475 miles per day . Utilize one of two typical route structures: Delivering backhaul freight to Wisconsin, obtaining outbound freight, and delivering to Illinois before returning home. Delivering outbound freight to Illinois, securing backhaul freight to Wisconsin, reloading in the Green Bay, De Pere, or Fox Valley area, and returning home. Maintain professional relationships with approximately 12 consistent customer locations throughout Northeast Wisconsin and Illinois. Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and DOT-required vehicle inspections. Ensure accurate completion of shipping documents and electronic logs. Follow all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.
Job Requirements:
Valid CDL Class A license Acceptable driving record and ability to meet DOT requirements Ability to safely operate tractor-trailer equipment in varying weather and traffic conditions Strong communication and customer service skills Dependable attendance and punctuality Ability to manage time effectively and adhere to delivery schedules
Wage Range:
50000.00 - 75000.00 per year
