Local/Regional Truck Driver

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Local Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial driving, with experience operating various types of vehicles including tractor-trailers and flatbeds. This role requires a commitment to safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction as you transport goods to various locations within the local area. Responsibilities Safely operate a variety of commercial vehicles including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, etc. Execute route driving to deliver freight in a timely manner while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Load and unload cargo using forklifts or other equipment as necessary. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle maintenance, and any incidents that occur during transport. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Experience Proven experience in commercial driving roles is essential. Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is required. Experience operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks is highly desirable. Ideal candidate - Ability to load and unload freight efficiently while maintaining safety standards Strong knowledge of local routes and traffic patterns is advantageous. A valid commercial driver's license (Class A) is required for this position.
