Looking for a driving career without spending your life on the road? Kelley Supply is looking for a dependable Class A CDL Driver to join our Logistics team in Colby, Wisconsin. This is not a traditional over-the-road driving position. Our drivers are paid hourly, primarily make day-trip regional deliveries, are home most nights, and have no regularly scheduled weekend routes. There are occasional overnight routes depending on delivery needs, but our drivers spend far more time at home than they would in a typical OTR position. And when you are not scheduled for a delivery route, you are still earning your regular hourly pay while working alongside our team in the distribution warehouse. What Makes This Driving Job Different Hourly pay — not mileage pay Primarily day-trip regional routes Home most nights No regularly scheduled weekends or holidays Only occasional overnight routes Consistent, year-round full-time employment Guaranteed weekly hours/pay Work in our warehouse when not scheduled on a route Load and unload your own truck using forklifts and other equipment Be part of a small logistics team where drivers are more than a truck number What You'll Do As a Regional Driver, you'll deliver products to customers throughout Wisconsin and surrounding states while also supporting our distribution operation.
Your responsibilities will include:
Safely transport products to and from customer and supplier locations Load, secure, unload, and verify products for delivery Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Maintain accurate delivery and pickup documentation Communicate with the Logistics Manager regarding routes, deliveries, delays, or customer needs Help with warehouse activities when not on a route, including: Picking and staging orders Loading and unloading trucks Receiving and putting away products Organizing inventory and warehouse areas Maintain a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and customer service What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who enjoys driving but also doesn't mind getting out of the truck and being part of the operation. The right person will be dependable, safety-minded, comfortable performing physical work, and willing to pitch in wherever needed.
Qualifications include:
Valid Class A CDL, or willingness/ability to obtain one through available training Safe driving record Ability to operate or learn to operate a forklift Ability to safely load and unload freight Strong attention to detail and communication skills Dependable attendance and a team-oriented attitude Ability to meet the physical demands of driving, loading, unloading, and warehouse work Hazmat and Tanker endorsements are preferred; assistance is available to obtain required endorsements Why Kelley Supply?
