Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Route Driver to join our family. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering products to customers homes, maintaining water treatment systems for customers, testing water, as well as learning to trouble-shoot problems as they arise. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and adherence to all traffic regulations. A kind and happy personality are a must as our customers have come to expect good service for over 75 years. Duties Operate delivery vehicles in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries. Load and unload goods, ensuring that items are secured properly during transit. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery times and any discrepancies. Communicate effectively with customers. Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety standards are met. Test water for basic chemistry. Perform all maintenance on water treatment systems within homes. Change filters, add salt, deliver water, all the aspects of our delivery services. Work with fellow employees effectively as a team. Skills Proven experience as a route driver or in a similar role is preferred. Strong knowledge of local roads and traffic patterns. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with customers and team members. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Basic mechanical skills. Outstanding customer service and a commitment to a family company.
