Overview Join our dynamic team as a CDL DRIVER and become a vital part of our logistics operation! This energetic role offers the opportunity to operate a variety of commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers, ensuring timely and safe delivery of freight across diverse routes. You'll navigate over-the-road (OTR) driving routes with precision, utilizing GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery schedules. Your expertise in handling hazardous materials and managing logistics cargo will be essential in maintaining safety and efficiency on every trip. Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers, adhering strictly to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Plan and execute over-the-road (OTR) routes using GPS navigation to ensure on-time deliveries across multiple locations. Load and unload freight efficiently, utilizing manual handling techniques and equipment such as forklifts when necessary. Transport hazardous materials or dangerous goods following hazardous materials regulations to ensure safety for all personnel and the environment. Load & unload cargo with precision, ensuring proper truck loading and unloading procedures are followed for freight integrity. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify truck condition, including checks on manual transmission systems, refrigeration units, flatbeds, tanker equipment, or roll-off trucks. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and compliance documentation in accordance with FMCSA regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch using GPS navigation systems and other communication tools to coordinate deliveries and address any route or safety issues promptly. Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on delivery driving across various vehicle types such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or refrigerated trailers. Demonstrated ability to handle logistics cargo including freight handling, truck loading/unloading, and managing hazardous or dangerous goods safely. Familiarity with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols related to truck driving. Experience operating manual transmission trucks and using forklift equipment for cargo handling is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of route driving best practices using GPS navigation systems for efficient delivery scheduling. Prior experience with automobile transportation or specialized vehicle hauling is advantageous but not mandatory. Ability to comply with all safety standards related to trucking operations including load securement, hazard communication, and manual handling techniques.
