Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Heavy Haul / Flatbed Driver to join our team for local driving operations. Duties Safely operate heavy haul and flatbed trucks for local deliveries and pickups. Secure loads properly using appropriate tie-downs, straps, and safety equipment to ensure safe transport. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition. Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during daily operations. Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules while minimizing delays. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members regarding delivery status or issues. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle maintenance reports. Adhere to safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or damage during transport. Qualifications Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for heavy haul or flatbed driving. Proven experience operating flatbed and heavy haul trucks in a local driving environment. Strong understanding of load securement techniques and safety procedures related to heavy hauling. Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance. Ability to perform basic vehicle inspections and maintenance checks. Good communication skills and ability to follow directions accurately. Physical ability to handle loading/unloading tasks and securement equipment as needed.
