Full-time with on-call responsibilities CDL A Truck Driver Responsibilities Safely operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle. Make scheduled deliveries according to established routes and schedules. Complete required pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Follow all DOT regulations and company safety procedures. Maintain accurate delivery records and required paperwork. Provide professional and courteous service to customers. Keep equipment clean and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly. Work independently while maintaining reliable communication with dispatch and management. Back up Yard Spotter Responsibilities As part of this position, the driver will also serve as a Backup Yard S potter when coverage is needed. The spotter role is primarily intended to cover: Scheduled employee time off Vacation and planned absences Occasional last-minute call-ins due to illness or other unforeseen circumstances Spotter shifts may be scheduled as either: Midnight

•Noon or Noon

•Midnight The Backup Yard Spotter portion of the position requires great flexibility . While call-ins are expected to be relatively rare, the successful candidate must be willing and able to adjust their schedule when coverage is necessary. Outside Working Conditions This position requires working both indoors and outdoors and being exposed to a variety of weather and environmental conditions.

Employees should be prepared to:

Work outdoors in hot, cold, wet, snowy, windy, and otherwise changing weather conditions . Get in and out of trucks and trailers throughout the workday. Perform vehicle and equipment inspections outside. Connect, disconnect, and maneuver trailers and equipment as required. Walk and work on outdoor surfaces, including snow, ice, gravel, pavement, and uneven ground . Work during both daylight and nighttime hours depending on the assigned shift. Wear appropriate work clothing and required personal protective equipment for the conditions. Maintain awareness of slippery surfaces, traffic, moving equipment, and other hazards associated with transportation and yard environment. Physical Requirements The physical demands of this position are consistent with the duties of a CDL A Truck Driver and Yard Spotter. Employees must be able to safely perform the following: Sit for extended periods while operating a commercial vehicle. Frequently get in and out of the truck cab and trailer areas using steps, handrails, and other access points. Walk, stand, bend, stoop, reach, and climb as necessary to perform job duties. Climb in and out of trucks and trailers and access equipment safely. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, including visually inspecting vehicles, trailers, tires, connections, lights, hoses, and other equipment. Connect and disconnect trailers and equipment as required. Handle hoses, equipment, and other items associated with delivery and transportation operations. Safely maneuver around trucks, trailers, loading areas, and yard equipment. Lift, carry, push, and pull items as required to perform routine job duties. Maintain sufficient strength, balance, coordination, and mobility to safely perform work around moving vehicles and equipment. Work safely on uneven, wet, icy, snowy, or slippery surfaces. Respond appropriately to changing conditions and unexpected situations in a transportation environment. What We're Looking For Valid Class A CDL Tanker Endorsement Safe driving record Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Excellent safety awareness Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication skills Ability to manage changing schedules and work hours A high degree of flexibility and willingness to provide coverage when needed Ability and willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position Previous experience with milk hauling, tanker operations, delivery driving, or yard spotting is helpful The Right Fit This position is well suited for someone who wants a regular 6:00 AM-6:00 PM delivery schedule but understands that transportation operations require dependable backup coverage. Flexibility is a key requirement of this position. The on-call spotter responsibility is generally used to cover planned time off, with occasional coverage needed when another employee calls in sick.
