Job Description

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dependable and skilled Septic Truck Driver to join our team and contribute to the efficient and safe operation of our septic waste management services. The ideal candidate should have a strong commitment to safety, exceptional driving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients. As a Septic Truck Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the proper collection and disposal of septic waste while upholding our company's standards of quality and professionalism.
Responsibilities:
Operation of Septic Truck:
Safely operate a septic truck equipped with vacuum pumps and hoses to collect and transport septic waste Ensure the proper operation of the truck's equipment, performing regular maintenance checks and addressing any issues promptly. Ability to drive a manual and automatic transmission.
Safe Driving:
Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while driving the septic truck. Maintain a strong focus on road safety, avoiding accidents and practicing defensive driving techniques.
Waste Collection and Disposal:
Efficiently locate and access septic tanks and waste storage facilities. Perform the proper procedures for pumping, cleaning, and emptying septic tanks and waste containers. Transport collected waste to designated disposal sites, following proper waste disposal guidelines.
Documentation and Communication:
Maintain accurate records of each service call, including location, date, time, and amount of waste collected. Communicate effectively with customers and team members in a courteous and informative manner
Equipment Maintenance:
Perform pre and post- trip routine maintenance checks on the septic truck Report any mechanical issues or concerns to the maintenance department for timely repairs.
Health and Safety:
Strictly adhere to health/safety protocols, including use of PPE and proper handling of hazardous materials. Participate in safety/training monthly meetings to share feedback, ideas, and receive continued training
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL B) and truck driving experience. Strong understanding of road safety regulations and traffic laws. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy hoses and equipment. Strong attention to detail and record-keeping abilities. Willingness to work in varying weather conditions and irregular hours.
