Job Description

PODS is seeking a safety-focused Truck Driver to deliver and pick up portable storage containers for residential and commercial customers. In this role, you'll operate CDL-class trucks on local and regional routes, perform pre- and post-trip inspections, and ensure secure loading, unloading, and placement of containers. You'll interact directly with customers, provide courteous, problem-solving service, and follow all DOT and company safety standards. Responsibilities Safely operate CDL-class trucks on local and regional routes Complete thorough pre- and post-trip inspections per DOT and company standards Deliver, pick up, and position portable storage containers at customer sites Secure loads and operate liftgates, dollies, and related equipment Follow all safety, traffic, and DOT regulations and company policies Provide courteous, professional service and problem-solve on-site customer needs Accurately complete logs, delivery records, and basic route documentation Communicate with dispatch and operations regarding routes, delays, and issues Maintain cleanliness and basic condition of assigned vehicle Support teammates and uphold PODS' customer-first, safety-focused culture Required Skills CDL-A or CDL-B driving Local and regional route driving Vehicle inspection and maintenance Safe loading and unloading Use of liftgates and dollies Electronic log devices (ELDs) Defensive driving Basic paperwork and documentation Customer communication Time management
