Job Description

A distribution company in Waukesha is looking for a dependable and experienced Class A CDL Driver for a full-time, Monday-Friday 3:00am-1:00pm. This is a great opportunity for a driver looking for steady weekday hours, competitive pay, Wisconsin routes, and the ability to be home every day. In this position, you will operate a semi-truck throughout Wisconsin, traveling to different warehouses and distribution locations to pick up and transport merchandise. You will be responsible for keeping pickups and deliveries on schedule, safely maneuvering the tractor-trailer at warehouse locations, properly securing loads, completing required paperwork, and performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer. Drivers are expected to inspect tires, lights, brakes, fluid levels, trailer connections, and other safety equipment before leaving each location. You will also communicate with warehouse personnel during pickups and report any mechanical, load, or safety concerns.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday Approximately 3:00am-1:00pm
Pay:
$30.00-$33.00 per hour , depending on experience.
Requirements:
Valid Class A CDL required. Clean and insurable driving record. Experience safely operating a semi and tractor-trailer. Dependable and punctual. Comfortable starting work at approximately 3:00 am Follow DOT regulations and all company safety procedures. Stay on schedule while operating safely in different traffic and weather conditions. Strong attention to safety and equipment inspections. Previous Class A driving experience preferred. Make sure freight is properly loaded and secured before leaving. This is a local driving position with no long-haul or over-the-road travel .
