CDL A Delivery Driver —
Local Routes, Home Daily Location:
Wausau, WI Hours:
4:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. | Minimal overtime Put your CDL A to work with a local route that gets you home every day. ESC in partnership with our client, Nassco, Inc. is seeking a dependable, safety-focused Delivery Driver to join our premier client's Wausau team. In this role, you'll drive a 48-foot tractor-trailer on routes from Wausau to the Fox Valley Area, making approximately 3-12 stops and providing friendly, reliable service to our customers. Early schedule:

What You'll Do Reporting to the Logistics Manager or Branch Manager, you'll ensure products reach customers safely, accurately, and on time. Operate a 48-foot tractor-trailer and complete assigned deliveries according to route instructions. Follow all safety rules and procedures, maintain an acceptable driving record, and report accidents or infractions occurring on or off duty. Complete and submit pre- and post-trip inspections; report vehicle or equipment concerns. Check vehicle fluid levels and perform routine upkeep, such as replenishing washer fluid or adding fuel additives as appropriate. Verify that loads are secure before departure and confirm delivery quantities against paperwork. Safely unload and move products using proper lifting techniques and equipment such as hand carts, manual or electric pallet jacks, and lift gates. Use company technology, including barcode/RF scanning tools and a mobile phone, to track products and capture proof of delivery. Communicate professionally with customers and colleagues, promptly reporting delivery issues or delays. Place products in designated customer storage areas and rotate stock when requested. Occasionally pick up products or equipment from customers or vendors and collect payments upon delivery. Complete additional routes as needed. Clean out the truck at the end of each shift and place returned, undelivered, or picked-up products in the appropriate staging areas. Participate in weekly driver meetings. Assist with warehouse material handling and inventory management as needed, including operating powered equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and order pickers. What You'll Bring A valid Class A Commercial Driver's License and an acceptable driving record. HazMat certification , or the ability to obtain it within 90 days of employment. A strong commitment to safety and customer service. The ability to work independently, stay organized, and solve problems. Basic technology skills and comfort using mobile applications and scanning equipment. The ability to understand verbal and written instructions in English. Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. The ability to perform the physical duties of the position. Physical Requirements This is an active delivery role requiring regular lifting and moving of up to 50 pounds and occasional moving of up to 100 pounds, either by hand or using a dolly. Duties also include regularly entering and exiting the truck, climbing stairs at customer locations, crouching, bending, twisting, and using hands and fingers to operate vehicle controls and mobile applications.
