Role may include on-call assignments with additional compensation What Your Day Looks Like Operate your commercial vehicle in full compliance with all state and federal transportation regulations. Deliver and retrieve loads safely and on schedule, observing all traffic laws and safety procedures along your route. Expertly maneuver truck and trailer into tight loading and unloading zones, taking direction from ground crews when needed. Load and unload equipment and materials (with specialized gear when appropriate); stage skids and return gear to its proper place. Keep accurate paperwork—signed invoices, bills of lading, and related documents—and turn it in at route completion. Perform routine checks and light service on your truck (oil, water, fuel, air) and report issues to the Shipping Supervisor. Position trailers in the yard to maximize efficiency and safe loading patterns. Tackle other related duties that keep our operation running smoothly. Skills & Qualifications Excellent communication and customer service; professional, courteous interactions at customer sites. Ability to stay focused and organized in a busy, time-sensitive environment. Education & Experience Commercial driver's license (Class A CDL) or chauffeur's license per state requirements, appropriate for vehicle weight. Must pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state department(s) of transportation regulations DOT medical qualification required (trucks operated exceed 10,000 lbs.). Minimum age 21 to operate a company vehicle. Physical Requirements Extended periods behind the wheel in a tractor or truck cab. Ability to lift and move up to 40 lbs. Frequent travel within the region. Some customers require CDL drivers to be clean shaven to access their facilities.
