Duties Safely operate commercial trucks including tractor-trailers, Pneumatic Tankers, and Dump Trucks. Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques or equipment such as forklifts when necessary. Plan routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries while optimizing fuel efficiency. Transport hazardous materials and dangerous goods in compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and hazardous materials regulations. Secure cargo properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit, ensuring compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking for mechanical issues or safety hazards. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and cargo manifests in accordance with DOT regulations. Deliver freight to various locations while adhering to route schedules and customer requirements. Load and unload freight at delivery points using appropriate manual handling techniques or equipment like forklifts when applicable. Ensure compliance with all safety standards related to hazardous materials, dangerous goods, and truck loading/unloading procedures. Qualifications Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record demonstrating safe driving habits. Experience operating a range of commercial vehicles including tractor-trailers, Pneumatic Tankers, and Dump Trucks. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols related to commercial trucking. Proficiency with GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time adjustments during deliveries. Ability to handle manual loading/unloading tasks safely using manual handling techniques. Experience with delivery driving across diverse routes including OTR routes that may span multiple states or regions. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with dispatch teams and customers during deliveries. Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks associated with loading/unloading freight regularly.

Pay:

$200.00 - $400.00 per day
