2991423428-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Orica is seeking a safety-focused CDL Class B Driver to support our mining, quarrying, and oil & gas operations. In this role, you will transport explosives and related materials to customer sites, following all DOT, hazmat, and company regulations. You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, maintain accurate delivery and compliance documentation, and safely operate loading/unloading equipment. Working closely with field and blasting teams, you'll support on-time deliveries in remote and challenging environments while upholding Orica's strong safety culture, environmental standards, and commitment to customer service. Responsibilities Safely operate commercial vehicle to transport explosives and related materials to customer and job sites Perform thorough pre- and post-trip inspections and complete required vehicle logs Adhere to all DOT, hazmat, and company safety regulations and procedures Load and unload materials using approved methods and equipment Maintain accurate delivery, shipping, and compliance documentation Communicate effectively with dispatch, field crews, and customers regarding schedules and site conditions Follow site-specific safety, security, and environmental protocols at mines and industrial locations Report equipment issues, incidents, or near-misses promptly to supervisors Support blasting and field teams with materials handling as required Participate in ongoing safety, hazmat, and compliance training Required Skills CDL Class B commercial driving DOT and FMCSA regulatory compliance Hazardous materials handling and transport Vehicle inspections and basic maintenance Defensive driving and route planning Load securement and safe unloading Documentation and logbook management Radio and dispatch communication Understanding of mining and industrial site safety protocols PPE and safety procedure adherence
