SUMMARY The Parking/Recycling Lead is a hands-on leadership position that helps keep daily parking and recycling operations safe, organized, and guest-focused. This position works alongside the crew while providing daily direction, coordinating parking and shuttle operations, and supporting recycling collection and transport. The Lead assumes supervisory responsibilities when the Parking/Recycling Manager is off and helps other Base Area departments as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
including the following. Other duties may be assigned. Provide friendly, high-quality guest service while maintaining clean, organized, and efficient parking and recycling operations. Lead and work alongside seasonal staff, providing clear direction, training, feedback, and support to help the team meet daily expectations. Monitor operations and adjust staff and resources as needed to support efficient parking and recycling operations. Help organize and carry out the daily parking plan, directing guests and employees to appropriate parking areas. Collect, sort, store, and prepare trash and recyclable materials for transport to off-site facilities. Coordinate and assist with parking lot shuttle operations on weekends, holidays, and other high-volume days. Maintain a professional, courteous, and helpful approach with guests and coworkers. Assist with other Base Area and resort operations as needed. Maintain scheduling and assignment flexibility based on weather, staffing, and business levels. Learn and safely perform basic operation of the skid steer and fork truck as needed for recycling duties.
RESPONSIBILITY TO SAFETY
Protect the safety of self, co-workers, and Grand Targhee Resort guests at all times. Assist with daily parking lot sanding operations. Report any potentially harmful equipment or situations to the immediate supervisor without delay. Report safety-related accidents and incidents at once to immediate supervisor. Follow all company and department safety policies and procedures. Operate equipment in a safe manner that will not lead to injury of yourself or others. Drive in accordance with the law and Grand Targhee Resort policies.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Serves as a daily working lead and assumes the Parking/Recycling Supervisor's supervisory responsibilities during scheduled days off. Responsibilities include coordinating staffing and assignments, ensuring adherence to resort policies and procedures, completing the daily parking report, evaluating staffing needs and efficiency, and ensuring paid parking operations are implemented when needed.
WORK SCHEDULE
Due to the nature of the recreation industry, Grand Targhee Resort operates seven days a week, including weekends and holidays. Flexible hours may be required based on weather, staffing, and business levels. Hours are not guaranteed. EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED required. Previous supervisory, lead, or foreman experience preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to perform basic addition and accurately complete the daily parking report.

Ability to read and understand basic instructions and correspondence and complete simple written communications. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with guests, coworkers, and employees in one-on-one and small-group settings.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, solve routine operational problems, and adjust priorities based on changing conditions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position works primarily outdoors in all types of winter weather and around moving vehicles and mechanical equipment. Employees may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, biohazards or other materials encountered during trash and recycling collection. The noise level is generally moderate.
