Clean Harbors is seeking a Yard Driver to safely move trailers, containers, and equipment within our facility, supporting environmental and industrial service operations. You will position units for loading and unloading, perform pre- and post-trip inspections, maintain accurate move logs, and ensure compliance with DOT and company safety standards. The Yard Driver coordinates closely with dispatch, warehouse, and operations teams to meet schedules while minimizing yard congestion. You'll help uphold our safety-first, environmentally responsible culture, with opportunities to grow skills in logistics and equipment operations. Responsibilities Move and position trailers, containers, and equipment within the yard Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on yard tractors and equipment Maintain accurate yard inventories, move logs, and documentation Coordinate moves with dispatch, warehouse, and operations teams Follow all DOT, OSHA, and company safety policies and procedures Report equipment defects and arrange maintenance as needed Ensure loads are properly staged for loading and unloading Operate forklifts or other material-handling equipment as required Support spill or emergency response staging as directed Contribute to a clean, organized, and hazard-free yard environment Required Skills Yard tractor operation Trailer spotting and backing Vehicle inspection and basic maintenance DOT and OSHA safety compliance Forklift and material-handling equipment operation Log and inventory recordkeeping Radio and dispatch communication Hazard recognition and safe work practices Basic mechanical aptitude Time management and scheduling coordination
