How You'll Make An Impact The Traffic Signals Technician installs, maintains, and services traffic signal systems while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and project requirements. Install, maintain, and repair traffic signal systems, including signal heads, controllers, wiring, sensors, cabinets, and communication equipment. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment functions correctly and safely. Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions in electronic and electrical signal systems. Respond to emergency calls for signal malfunctions and perform timely repairs. Replace or adjust traffic signal hardware, software, timing, and coordination plans as directed. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and parts used. Interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical manuals. Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal safety and traffic regulations. Coordinate with utility companies, contractors, and other city departments as needed. Operate and maintain tools, vehicles, bucket trucks, and other specialized equipment. What You Bring High school diploma or GED 2-5 years of experience working with traffic signals, ITS, or related electrical systems Strong electrical fundamentals and troubleshooting skills Experience with traffic signal cabinets, controllers, conflict monitors, and detection systems Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and wiring diagrams Comfortable working outdoors, at heights, and in active roadway environments Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical jobsite tasks Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record IMSA Level I or Level II certification preferred or willingness to obtain OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred About Us GreenArrow unites exceptional infrastructure services companies across the United States to deliver safer, smarter, and more efficient solutions for our communities.
