Full-Time Transportation Control Systems is seeking an experienced Traffic Signal Cabinet Technician to join our manufacturing and quality team. If you have experience working on traffic signals, ITS equipment, traffic control cabinets, industrial electrical systems, or similar equipment and you're ready for a position that lets you use your technical skills in a conditioned manufacturing and testing environment , we want to talk to you. This position provides an opportunity for experienced field technicians to continue working in the traffic signal industry while moving away from many of the demands associated with traditional roadside signal maintenance. Your work will focus on cabinet manufacturing, testing, troubleshooting, inspection, and technical support in a conditioned manufacturing environment. What You'll Do Test and troubleshoot traffic signal and ITS control cabinets Diagnose electrical and electronic problems using schematics and test equipment Test controllers, load switches, MMUs/conflict monitors, relays, power supplies, detection equipment, surge protection devices, and related components Troubleshoot AC and DC electrical circuits Verify cabinet wiring against electrical drawings and specifications Identify wiring, component, assembly, and workmanship issues Perform functional testing of completed cabinets Assist manufacturing personnel with electrical and technical issues Document test results and corrective actions Support quality-control inspections Assist with root-cause analysis when equipment does not operate as intended Work with engineering and production personnel to resolve technical problems Help ensure completed equipment meets customer and applicable traffic-industry requirements What We're Looking For We are interested in candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas: Traffic signal maintenance or construction Traffic signal cabinet troubleshooting NEMA TS1 or TS2 traffic control cabinets ITS cabinets and equipment Traffic controllers MMUs or conflict monitors Load switches Vehicle detection equipment Relays and control circuits AC/DC electrical systems Reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams Electrical troubleshooting using a digital multimeter Industrial electrical or electronic equipment Cabinet manufacturing, testing, or quality control You do not need experience in every area listed above to apply. The Person We're Looking For The ideal candidate doesn't just replace components until something starts working. We want someone who enjoys troubleshooting. You should be comfortable looking at a schematic, using a meter, understanding what a circuit is supposed to do, and systematically determining why it isn't doing it.
