Full Job Description Distribution Technician Location:
Dayton, OH Contract:
6-month
Contract-to-Hire Salary:
$20/hr Overview Brooksource is hiring a Distribution Field Technician to support our Power Distribution Engineering team. This role involves field inspections, data collection, work order preparation, and storm damage assessments for overhead (OH) and underground (UG) electrical distribution systems. Responsibilities
  • Inspect overhead and underground electrical distribution facilities.
  • Collect and document field data.
  • Prepare minor work orders and maintenance reports.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and agencies. Qualifications & Preferred Experience
Education:
o High school diploma required. o Associate's Degree in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
    Experience:
    o Entry-level candidates welcome. o 1+ years of experience in electric utilities, power distribution, or telecommunications preferred.
      Technical Skills:
      o National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) knowledge preferred. o Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering software (e.g., GIS, CAD, or similar tools) is a plus. o Experience with Auto
      CAD, GIS
      mapping software, or electrical design tools preferred.
        Other Requirements:
