OF KILLEEN POSITION DESCRIPTION
Support Services Technician This position performance of technical tasks associated with law enforcement support services. The employee will have the responsibility of: Assisting with the performance of routine building, grounds, and police vehicle maintenance Operating hand/power tools in the performance/assisting of maintenance projects Inventory and assignment of all vehicles related equipment Stripping police vehicles once removed from the fleet Assisting with maintaining relationships with contractors and vendors Accompanying vendors and contractors though the building in secured areas Creating preparing, and monitoring work orders for proper repairs Assisting with transportation of police vehicles to outside facilities to have further work completed Coordinating service work with other City Departments Coordinating the recycling of older non-usable police equipment The work environment will require the employee to: Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and wet and/or humid conditions As an employee with the city of Killeen some benefits are: Health insurance from Blue Cross Blue Shield of TX Dental and Vision insurance Life insurance Retirement through TMRS (Optional 4579(b) Accounts) Paid Vacation and Sick Leave 13 paid holidays

High School degree or equivalent; and, Minimum of one year of work experience in the maintenance field preferred; or, Equivalent combination education and experience
Special Requirements:
Must pass a thorough background investigation and compete a polygraph examination Must have valid driver's license by date of hire Must obtain and maintain a Texas driver's license within 60 days of hire
