CDL-A Gravel Train Driver - Flint, MI $25.00/hour | $1,000 Sign-On Bonus | Local Truck Parking DHT Group is hiring an experienced Gravel Train Driver for a specialized operation based in the Flint, Michigan area . This position supports area wastewater treatment facilities, transporting biosolids from treatment plants to area landfills . The selected driver will be assigned to this operation and will be able to park the truck locally in the Flint area . Required Experience Gravel train operating experience is
REQUIRED.
Because of the nature of this operation, we are looking for an experienced driver who is comfortable maneuvering and operating gravel train equipment in demanding loading and unloading environments. Landfill experience is highly preferred. Compensation & Benefits $25.00 per hour $1,000 sign-on bonus for qualified applicants Employee-owned company - Employee Stock Paid time off after 90 days 401(k) with partial employer match after 90 days Medical, HSA, dental and vision insurance after 30 days Short-term and long-term disability Company-provided life insurance with additional coverage available LegalShield and identity theft protection Pet insurance Essential Duties Safely operate gravel train equipment in accordance with company, state and federal requirements Transport biosolids from wastewater treatment facilities to area landfills Inspect truck and trailers to ensure mechanical, safety and emergency equipment is in proper working order Verify delivery instructions, routes and load documentation Inspect and secure loads as required Maintain required driver logs and vehicle documentation Safely maneuver equipment into loading and unloading positions Operate through weigh stations and comply with applicable weight regulations Couple and uncouple trailers and properly connect air and electrical lines Inspect trailers following unloading Clean trailers as necessary Report equipment defects, accidents, violations or damage according to company procedures Complete delivery documentation accurately About DHT Group Based in Reese, Michigan, DHT Group has been serving customers with a commitment to safety, reliability and professional service for more than 40 years . Employee-Owned Company Requirements:
Licensed CDL Class A Driver Acceptable MVR T Endorsement (Doubles Endorsement) 3-6 months of verifiable Gravel train driving experience
Preferred Requirements:
Mechanically inclined Landfill experience
Gravel Train Driver Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screen Must be able to pass a DOT physical
