Monday-Friday | Weekends as needed Make a Difference Every Day STARS is seeking dependable, safety-focused, and customer-service-oriented Paratransit CDL Bus Operators to join our team. Our Paratransit Operators provide safe and reliable curb-to-curb, demand-response transportation for passengers throughout the community. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys driving, working with people, and providing a service that makes a meaningful difference in the lives of others. What You'll Do Safely operate STARS paratransit vehicles in accordance with traffic laws and safety procedures Provide professional, courteous, and compassionate service to passengers Assist passengers as needed, including safely loading and securing wheelchairs Follow proper radio and communication procedures Complete required vehicle inspections and report equipment concerns Accurately maintain passenger counts, mileage, timecards, and other required documentation Complete accident and incident reports when necessary Follow defensive driving practices and STARS safety procedures Perform other duties as assigned by Transportation leadership What We're Looking For High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for public transit service 1-3 years of transportation, customer service, or equivalent experience preferred Strong commitment to safety and excellent customer service Dependable and professional Ability to communicate effectively with passengers and coworkers Ability to load wheelchairs and lift up to 50 pounds Benefits & Perks STARS offers more than just a paycheck.
