Love driving, meeting new people, and being part of a vibrant community? The Lookout is looking for an enthusiastic Shuttle Truck Operator to help keep our Owners and Guests moving and smiling! In this role, you'll cruise through our beautiful community, transporting guests to and from the Lake Chelan beach and waterfront in a truck with a 28-passenger trailer. You'll run a continuous loop with designated stops, helping everyone get where they need to go safely and comfortably. This is more than just a driving job—it's a chance to create great guest experiences! You'll be a friendly face of The Lookout, communicating with guests, answering questions, and working closely with our Front Desk team to keep everything running smoothly. The ideal candidate is a highly responsible and safety-focused driver who remains alert to pedestrians, other vehicles, and changing road conditions while navigating the community. Drivers must be able to engage courteously with guests while maintaining full attention to safe vehicle operation at all times.RESPOSABILITIES INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO
Safely drive vehicle over specified routes or to specified destinations adhering strictly to time schedules, complying with traffic regulations and state laws to ensure that passengers have a smooth and safe ride. Ensure that passengers follow safety regulations. Provide passengers with assistance entering and exiting vehicles and help them with any luggage. Assume responsibility for the safety and security of passengers/goods during transport. Test vehicle equipment such as lights, brakes, horns, or windshield wipers, to ensure proper operation. Before each shift Always maintain cleanliness of vehicle. Fill fuel tank on last run of route each day. Memorize and effectively deliver provided script describing local facts and answer passengers' questions. Report any vehicle malfunctions or needed repairs/maintenance to management immediately. Report all delays and accidents to management. Complete accident reports when necessary. Communicate with Lodge as needed - Always respond to radio calls. Maintain required driving logs and record information.QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must have excellent customer service and communication skills. Answer inquiries pertaining to the resort's amenities, services, policies, area attractions, dining, and directions. Individuals must also have a valid driver's license and clean driving record. Moderate physical effort (lift/carry up to 50 lbs) Frequent lifting, pushing of supplies and equipment. Prolonged standing, walking, reaching, stooping, bending, and kneeling. Must be able to work independently and follow instructions regarding priorities of tasks or functions. Communicate with other departments as needed via telephone and two-way radio. Must be able to work outdoors, exposed to potential temperature extremes of heat and/or cold.
