Could you be the full-time onsite Recovery Technician in Phoenix, AZ we're looking for? Your future role Take on a new challenge and apply your mechanical and maintenance expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside dedicated and safety-conscious teammates. You'll play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and safety of commuter services by performing preventive and corrective maintenance on vehicles and wayside equipment, including visual inspections and troubleshooting of electro-mechanical components. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (technical supervisors, maintenance crews, and safety officers), manually drive trains to ensure they are serviceable for revenue service, and handle emergencies with quick action and adherence to established procedures, and much more. We'll look to you for: Performing train and system recoveries of failed equipment to ensure operational readiness Performing visual inspections and maintenance of electro-mechanical components, such as brakes, air compressors, couplers, doors, HVAC, and auxiliary power systems Conducting "light" preventive and corrective maintenance on vehicles and wayside equipment Reviewing and adhering to safety instructions, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance and minimize risks Making recommendations for hardware and procedural improvements identified during maintenance or troubleshooting Responding to emergencies and handling failures promptly and in alignment with established protocols Manually driving trains and ensuring all trains entering revenue service are fully serviceable Recording all maintenance activities and relevant information on appropriate work orders/forms Participating in regular training to maintain and enhance technical skills and knowledge Following all Alstom security and safety instructions to ensure personal safety and the reliability of the fleet.
