Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Transmission R and R Technician to join our dynamic automotive service team. In this role, you will be responsible for the precise removal and installation of vehicle transmissions, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will contribute to delivering exceptional repair services, specializing in complex powertrain systems, while maintaining a focus on quality and efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of vehicle makes and models, including GM vehicles, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and mechanical skills to troubleshoot and repair automotive transmission systems. Duties Perform transmission removal, installation, disassembly, and reassembly with precision, adhering to manufacturer specifications and safety standards Diagnose transmission issues using automotive diagnostic tools and schematics, identifying root causes efficiently Repair or replace components within the powertrain system, including engine repair and drivetrain components Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults within vehicle systems Conduct vehicle maintenance tasks such as alignment, engine repairs, and electrical system diagnostics to ensure overall vehicle performance Utilize hand tools, power tools, and manual handling techniques for mechanical repairs involving heavy lifting or complex assemblies Maintain detailed records of repairs performed, parts used, and diagnostic findings to ensure quality control and customer satisfaction Requirements Proven dealership experience with automotive repair, especially in transmission R and R procedures Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive engine systems, powertrain components, and vehicle maintenance practices Experience working with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) technology is preferred Ability to interpret automotive schematics and wiring diagrams accurately Proficiency with automotive diagnostic tools and diagnostics procedures for engine and transmission systems Hands-on experience repairing diesel engines as well as standard passenger cars Familiarity with automotive electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and engine technology principles Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients Physical ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in various positions requiring manual handling Mechanical repair experience with GM vehicles or similar brands is a plus Join our team if you're passionate about automotive technology, eager to develop your skills further, and committed to delivering top-tier vehicle repair services.
