Duties Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of aquariums, filtration systems, and related equipment to ensure pristine conditions. Troubleshoot and repair pond and aquarium equipment using hand tools and power tools, maintaining optimal operation. Manage water treatment processes by handling chemicals responsibly to balance water chemistry and ensure water quality standards are met. Maintain aquarium plumbing systems, including pipes, pumps, and valves, to prevent leaks and ensure efficient water flow. Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about aquatic displays and explaining maintenance procedures when interacting with visitors or clients. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience maintaning aquariums. Hands-on experience with aquarium plumbing systems, including installation and repairs. Skilled in using hand tools and power tools for maintenance tasks and equipment repair. Knowledge of aquarium habitats and ecosystems. Outdoor work experience with the ability to perform physical tasks in varying weather conditions. Excellent customer service skills to communicate technical information clearly and professionally. Requirements Must have reliable transportation. Must have at least 2 years experience maintaining aquariums. This is a MOBILE position, employee must be comfortable working across the Bay Area.
