Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform metal fabrication for plant operations. Take a fabrication project from concept through completion Weld and cut on equipment when necessary. Perform regular preventative maintenance on ready-mix plant, conveyor, mixer, loader, and recycler such as oiling, greasing, and changing filters. Perform emergency maintenance and troubleshooting when necessary, such as welding, replacing parts, and changing bags on dust collector. Perform general cleanup of plant and yard such as shoveling and sweeping. Perform all tasks in a safe manner. Maintain effective working relationships with company employees, suppliers, and customers. Promote and maintain the professional image and reputation of the company and ensure timely problem resolution and customer satisfaction. Complete all paperwork required by employer.
Examples:
(Have reports or equipment maintenance schedules, work orders, and employee time sheets.) Other duties as assigned by the plant maintenance manager. Education and/or Experience High School diploma or general education degree (GED). Three to five years of experience in welding/fabrication Training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and understand blueprints, including welding diagrams and symbols Welding Certificate equal to or above
AWS D1.1
Minnesota Welding Standards. Experience welding aluminum and TIG welding preferred Experience in maintenance of equipment, such as air compressors, mixers, conveyors, motors, and other miscellaneous equipment. Valid Department of Transportation Certified Class A Commercial Driver's License or acquire one within 45 working days from receipt of this job description.
Pay:
