Job Description
This position is to train under, and then replace, an excellent A tech that is retiring this fall. You MUST be a solid B•tech right now. At least some experience replacing timing belts, evaporators, and engine/transmission R&R preferred. This is an opportunity to learn from a great guy, and to be able to grow in your career. If you can do diag, then that's always a bonus, but it is not required. Most diag is done by our diag tech, then work passed to this tech. Please read additional details below.•We are looking for a friendly, team-oriented technician with good attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have a commitment to accuracy, skill improvement over time, desire to follow correct repair procedures, and a willingness to go the extra mile in presenting our recommendations to clients. You should also thrive in a collaborative team environment. You will be doing traditional repairs, heavy repairs, alignments and some tires. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with no weekends required. Our building is just over two years old, our shop is very well lit, air-conditioned, and smoke-free. I co-own the body shop in the same building, and 55 Auto Works provides ADAS calibration & mechanical repair support for that shop when needed. We offer 8 paid holidays, paid time off, a 401(k), and an optional health insurance plan. We are looking for a technician with at least 10 years of experience in a shop environment, and pay will be based on experience. We maintain a clean and friendly work atmosphere where teamwork is essential. Candidates must have their own tools, a valid driver's license, and a desire to learn and grow in the field.
