Job Description

Buffalo, NY Fixed Operations Equipment Technician $25
  • $35 per Hour First Shift
  • Occasional Overtime and After-Hours Work as Needed 1
  • 3 Years of Experience in Facilities Maintenance, Building and Grounds, or a Related Field Preferred The Fixed Operations Equipment Technician reports to the Facility Project Manager and is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of automotive service lifts, air compressors, and related shop equipment.
This role ensures all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and safety checks on automotive lifts and air compressors Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues Conduct load testing and assist with lift certification to ensure compliance with safety standards Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, and maintenance logs Respond to service requests and provide timely support across multiple locations Train staff on proper operation and basic maintenance of equipment Ensure compliance with OSHA and all applicable safety regulations Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicles in proper working conditions Perform additional duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required 1
  • 3 years of experience in facilities maintenance, building and grounds, or a related field preferred
Technical Skills Required:
Experience with hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems Familiarity with automotive service lifts and air compressors preferred Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
Licenses & Requirements:
Valid New York State driver's license required Commercial Class B license preferred
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift heavy tools and equipment
  • no lifting restrictions Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in various positions for extended periods Ability to work in varying environmental and weather conditions Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
