Salary Range:
$20.00 To $26.00 Hourly The position of a Mechanic is of great significance to Valley Agronomics. A person in this position is responsible for performing scheduled maintenance on diesel equipment and fertilizer applicator equipment, diagnosing and identifying malfunctions in machinery, and repairing defective or worn parts in machinery. This is a safety-sensitive position.
Job Summary:
These are the basic requirements of the position and must be performed competently. Diagnose problems and determine what repairs are needed. Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles. Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments. Prepare reports in conjunction with work assignments. Perform all service tasks as assigned. Perform deliveries as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES
2+ years of experience working on agricultural equipment. Must have excellent mechanical skills and ability to operate machinery. Must be able to make appropriate decisions and execute them according to policy. Must maintain appropriate and expected levels of customer service. Must have ability to determine order of need and task priority based on level of importance. Must exhibit a professional and positive image.
