OVERVIEW

General Mills is seeking a Bakery Training Technician to work on the In-Store Fresh team supporting Walmart bakeries. This is a field based role with 50-60% travel where you will provide hands on product training in both one-on-one and seminar settings to Walmart Bakery associates. Candidates must live in the Tyler or Longview, TX areas or be willing to self-relocate for this role.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

In this role you will: Develop & deliver strategic training and demonstrations to drive in-store knowledge and ability in Walmart bakeries Develop and maintain excellent relationships with in-store and management and associates Maintain optimum territory coverage patterns by training stores on a prescribed time & frequency while maintaining updated and accurate records Effectively conduct hands on product training for bakery associates in a seminar type setting both large and small while working as a team with other suppliers Additional duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma 1-3 years' previous experience within a bakery; 3-5 years baking, donut and cake decorating experience in a teaching setting Technical baking, donut and cake decorating skills required Ability to train small groups Ability to work in a home office environment and travel 50-60% (company car provided) Self-managed and results oriented Flexible and able to manage adversity Strong communication and influence skills Strong PC/iPad skills including, but not limited to: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneDrive

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds while using the appropriate lifting techniques and safety rules

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Culinary or Bakery training or bachelor's degree

ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS

International relocation or international remote working arrangements will not be considered. Applicants for this position must be currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis. General Mills will not sponsor applicants for this position for work visas.

SALARY RANGE
The salary range for this position is:

$51,300 - $70,700 Annual At General Mills we strive for each employee's pay at any point in their career to reflect their experiences performance and skills for their current role. The salary range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, educations, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
