Fulltime Working location: Indianapolis, IN As the Technical Lead of Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) for T56/501K and Helicopters Programs, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient and effective execution of Maintenance and Overhaul (M&O) Engineering activities for T56/501K and Helicopter engines (T56 Series 3 & 3.5, T56 Series 4, M250, RR300, & CTS800), including Customer Support, Repair, Ground Support Engineering (GSE) and technical publication content management. This requires prioritization of tasks to meet business needs, ensuring technical documents have adequate substantiation and quality, providing leadership and technical guidance to team members, and developing a culture of continuous improvement. Lead and coach an engineering team comprised of Maintenance & Overhaul Engineering / Customer Support, Repair, and Ground Support Equipment Engineering skill sets to effectively and efficiently execute: Manage Engineering Customer Support for the respective Helicopters (M250/RR300/CTS80) and T56 aftermarkets, including support for Aircraft on Ground (AOGs), incoming safety or service investigations, technical queries, and evaluation of in-service engines and hardware with conditions outside of current manual limits (Technical Variances) Serve as the interface to the Regional Field Service Representatives (FSRs) Coordinate with the Authorized Maintenance Centers (AMCs), Authorized Maintenance Repair & Overhaul Centers (AMROCs), and Authorized Repair Facilities (ARFs) servicing T56/Helicopters products Design and support of Ground Support Equipment Initiation and verification of technical publication changes (manuals, etc.) Prioritize workload, allocate resources, and manage budget for the M&O Engineering Team in support of all T56/Helicopters products. Hire and maintain a group of capable engineers and ensure effective performance management of assigned Engineers by setting/agreeing appropriate and relevant objectives, performing evaluations and appraisals (e.g. PDRs) Work with the Engineering Technology & Safety (ET&S) engineering function Capability Managers to identify training, skills gaps or competency needs with the team and provide skill development opportunities Identify and execute improvements to processes, tools, and methods for the M&O engineering team to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience or Master's degree and 3+ years of experience Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident to be eligible for considerationPreferred Qualifications:
At least 10+ years of related experience Experience and knowledge ofT56/501K
product line and/or Helicopters product line, regulatory framework and customers Experience with M&O engineering and technical publications Experience with design engineering, GD&T, modelling Experience with repair engineering and repair development Experience and demonstrated capability in root cause investigation, including evidence-based methods Experience in design, repair, and troubleshooting for safety or safety investigations (Red Tops/SARs) involving Rolls-Royce products. Breadth of gas turbine engineering experience across engineering functions: design, performance, validation/verification, customer application, certification/qualification, maintenance & overhaul, repair, field service, etc. Experience in resource workload, prioritization, allocation management and associated tools Experience in managing/leading/coaching people and engineering teams to successful outcomes and customer satisfaction Demonstrated ability to influence others through effective and positive engagement on technical and business issues.
