Job Description
Locomotive Mechanic Precision Locomotive Services, LLC has an immediate opening for a Locomotive Technician who will perform locomotive mechanical and electrical maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting, ensuring that the rail equipment needs are supported and maintenance work is completed in a timely, efficient and safe manor. Ability to adapt to travel, changing work hours, service calls, overtime, tasks to accomplish, etc. Work outside in all weather conditions in confined spaces, and on occasion at elevated heights.
- Ensure compliance with all plant, railroad and FRA rules and regulations for safety, operations.
- Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in Diesel engines, air brake equipment, electrical equipment, running gear or locomotive components.
- Perform periodic inspections.
- Responsible for overall locomotive maintenance
- Read and comprehend written and oral instructions, including electrical schematics Minimum Qualifications High School diploma/GED Valid Driver's License 5 years relevant mechanical experience Background check Pre-employment and Random drug screens Preferred Qualifications 5 years Locomotive Mechanical and/or Electrical experience.
