MUST HAVE TECHNICIAN LICENSE TO DO BRAKE AND LAMP INSPECTIONS
We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Brake and Lamp Inspector to join our automotive inspection team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for thoroughly inspecting vehicles to ensure that brake systems and lighting components meet safety standards and regulatory requirements. Your keen eye for detail, mechanical aptitude, and commitment to safety will help maintain the highest quality standards for our clients. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your expertise in vehicle safety inspections while contributing to road safety and vehicle reliability. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive inspections of brake systems, including drum brakes, disc brakes, and related components, ensuring proper function and safety compliance Examine vehicle lighting systems such as headlights, taillights, turn signals, and brake lights for proper operation and visibility Utilize hand tools, power tools, and automotive electrical testing equipment to diagnose issues accurately Identify mechanical faults or defects in vehicle systems related to brakes and lighting, documenting findings clearly and precisely Perform minor repairs or adjustments as needed to ensure vehicles pass inspection standards Maintain detailed inspection records, logs, and reports in accordance with company policies and regulatory guidelines Assist with additional vehicle maintenance tasks such as tire changes or basic mechanical repairs when required Skills Strong knowledge of standard passenger car operation and automotive systems Mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle maintenance and repair procedures Proficiency in automotive tire change, auto estimating, and vehicle inspections Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and automotive electrical testing equipment Familiarity with automotive parts, accessories, electrical systems, auto body repair, and auto restoration techniques Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate inspection results clearly Ability to perform heavy lifting safely during inspections or repairs Prior mechanic experience or automotive service background highly preferred Join our team to play a crucial role in ensuring vehicles are safe on the road!
