Posting Detail Information Salary Information $40.90 per hour. Job Summary Administer written and on-road CDL exams while documenting results and ensuring all applicant comply with state and federal safety regulations. Essential Functions Conduct comprehensive on-road skills tests and proctor written examinations for CDL applicants. Closely monitor driving performance, ensuring compliance with state and federal DOT regulations. Accurately record and document evaluation results, and verify applicant paperwork. Maintain a strict adherence to safety protocols; immediately report any violations or safety concerns encountered during testing. Provide clear, professional instructions to a wide range of applicants, maintaining a patient and objective demeanor at all times. Transition seamlessly between indoor administrative tasks and outdoor road evaluations in various weather conditions. Required Qualifications Must possess a current Certified Commercial Examiner ( CCE ) certification via the DOT . A minimum of 1 year of prior experience specifically as a CDL Examiner. Ability to pass a rigorous Federal background check. You must maintain a clean driving record. Proven track record of reliability and extreme attention to detail. Strong interpersonal skills to manage applicant interactions effectively Desired Qualifications Prior experience in Law Enforcement or DOT Enforcement . In-depth knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations ( FMCSR ). Work Schedule Schedule fluctuates. Days and times to be determined.
