Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and responsible Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Driver with Class A or B certification ( with NO automatic restictions) to join our Railroad maintenance team. In this role, you will operate various commercial vehicles to transport equipment and materials safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations. This is a travel job, we do pay hotels and per-diem. Responsibilities Safely operate commercial vehicles including grapple trucks, rotary dumps and rollbacks in accordance with state and local laws. Follow all traffic laws, transportation safety regulations, and company policies during every trip. Respond quickly to traffic changes, road conditions, and emergency situations using defensive driving techniques. Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in proper working condition; report any maintenance issues promptly. Dumping rock on track Maintaining a clean record, and ability to pass a drug and alcohol screening. Skills Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A or B) with a clean driving record. Knowledge of traffic laws, vehicle codes, and transportation safety regulations applicable to commercial driving. Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse communities. Ability to tie down and haul heavy equipment without assistance loading Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for loading/unloading equipment or materials Quick response capability to adapt to traffic changes and unexpected road conditions during routes. This paid position is ideal for energetic individuals committed to safety, clear communication and teamwork. Preferred railroad experience, but not required.
