Role Summary Ourisman Automotive Group is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Maryland State Inspector responsible for performing vehicle inspections in accordance with state regulations and standards. Your expertise will ensure that vehicles meet safety and emissions requirements, providing our customers with peace of mind and maintaining the integrity of our services. More about the role Conduct comprehensive safety and emissions inspections on vehicles in compliance with Maryland state laws. Identify and document any vehicle deficiencies or repairs needed to meet inspection standards. Communicate inspection results to customers clearly and professionally, providing recommendations for repairs as necessary. Maintain accurate records of inspections, including documentation of passed and failed vehicles. Stay updated on state inspection regulations, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance. Collaborate with service technicians to ensure timely and efficient repairs are completed. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and practices. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly and courteously. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge. What we look for Valid Maryland State Inspector certification. Additional automotive training or certification preferred. Previous experience in automotive inspection or repair is a plus. Strong understanding of vehicle systems, safety regulations, and emissions standards. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods. Basic computer skills for documentation and record-keeping.
