About Pride Group Pride Group is a Chandler, Arizona based event production and rental company supporting some of the Southwest's largest events. Our teams handle everything from tenting, fencing, and staging to traffic control, parking, and full event operations support, working alongside clients and venues to make sure every event comes together safely and on time. Position Summary The Operations Support Specialist leads a small team of 3 to 5 associates responsible for the setup and breakdown (strike) of traffic control on event jobs, including signage, cones, barricades, and flagging. This role requires current ATSSA (American Traffic Safety Services Association) certification and a working knowledge of traffic control plans, ensuring every setup is safe, compliant, and matches the site's approved plan. While traffic control is the core focus, this role is just as much a part of the broader event operations team. The Specialist and their crew regularly pitch in on general event set and strike work, such as tenting, fencing, and staging, whenever traffic control needs allow. This is a hands-on, on-site role that calls for strong organizational skills, clear communication, and the ability to lead a small crew in a fast-paced, outdoor event environment. Responsibilities Set up and maintain traffic control zones using cones, barriers, signs, and flagging equipment to direct vehicle and pedestrian flow safely around construction sites Support strike operations by assisting with the removal and installation of traffic control devices efficiently and safely Conduct routine inspections of traffic control setups to ensure compliance with safety standards and project specifications Follow FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations for commercial truck driving when operating or supporting transportation needs Maintain clear communication with team members and supervisors to coordinate traffic control activities effectively while adhering to safety protocols Qualifications Knowledge of traffic control for work zones and familiarity with roadway construction projects Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools in construction settings Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations related to commercial truck driving and safety compliance Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely in outdoor environments Excellent safety awareness skills with a commitment to following safety protocols at all times Outdoor work experience in various weather conditions is preferred Basic welding skills and utility locating knowledge are advantageous Join us in creating safer roads through expert traffic control support!
