Job Description
Company Overview AvAirPros Services represents airlines' interests and assists them in meeting the airport's operational goals. We ensure all stakeholders successfully work through the business, financial, technical, and operational issues that arise in the aviation industry. Our client, the San Francisco Terminal Equipment Company, LLC (SFOTEC) is responsible for the operation and maintenance of equipment, facilities, and services at San Francisco International Airport (SFO) including all terminal, landside, and airside operations. Position Overview The Ramp Tower Controller will be directly responsible for the day-to-day on-site operations related to the Ramp Control Tower, Airport Resource Management System (AMS), and Common Use gates managed by SFOTEC at San Francisco International Airport. This role safely controls aircraft movement in the ramp areas near the terminal buildings in the International Terminal at the San Francisco International Airport working closely with local FAA Air Traffic Control Tower personnel to ensure the safe, efficient, and expeditious movement of aircraft from the active taxiways to the non-movement ramp areas, and into their assigned gates. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education. 2 years' experience in Airline, Airport Operations or a related field Proficient in using computer and technical computerized systems Ability to work any shift in a 24/7 operation, including weekends, overnights, and holidays. Ability to stay poised under pressure and maintain excellent quality work while working on multiple concurrent requests. Strong understanding of airport operational environment, stakeholders, tenants, and policies and procedures. Experience deconflicting issues between parties with different priorities. Understanding of airport and airline operations strategies, responses, and considerations. Strong experience in asset management and optimization, preferably at a large facility such as an airport, university, government building or manufacturing facility. Experience in managing, coordinating, and resolving airport emergencies and issues affecting airport operations. Experience in preparing, maintaining, and filing appropriate reports. Strong analytical skills to help take a proactive approach in improving airport operations.
