Miami, FL Job Details Part-time $130 - $150 a day 16 hours ago Benefits Paid training On-the-job training Qualifications Outdoor work experience Driver's License Ability to follow instructions Full Job Description Elite Traffic Control is looking for reliable and hardworking individuals to join our team as MOT (Maintenance of Traffic) Technicians . No previous MOT experience is required. Training will be provided. Applicants with previous traffic control or MOT experience are encouraged to apply and may qualify for a higher starting rate. Schedule This is a part-time position with a variable schedule. It is not a traditional 9-5 job. Our work schedule is based on active construction projects. Assignments may be during the day or night and may include weekdays and weekends. Some weeks may have multiple available shifts, while other weeks may be slower. Weekly hours are not guaranteed. We are looking for individuals who have flexibility and can reliably report to work when they accept a job. Responsibilities Help set up and remove traffic signs, cones, barricades and other safety equipment Help prepare work areas so traffic can safely move around construction crews Load and unload traffic-control equipment from company trucks Follow the setup instructions provided for each job Check that signs, cones and other equipment stay in the correct place while working Take photos of the completed setup when required Keep company trucks and equipment organized and in good condition Follow all safety rules while working near roads and traffic Communicate with the supervisor if there is a problem or something changes on the job Requirements No previous MOT or traffic-control experience required — we will train you Must be reliable and show up on time Must have reliable transportation to report to work Must be willing to work both daytime and nighttime jobs Must have some weekend availability Must be comfortable working outdoors in the heat, rain and other weather conditions Must be comfortable working near roads, vehicles and construction areas Must be able to stand and walk for long periods Must be able to lift and carry traffic-control equipment Must be able to follow instructions and work safely as part of a team Valid driver's license is preferred Pay $130-$160 per day, based on experience and qualifications. Paid/on-the-job training is available for qualified applicants without previous MOT experience. What We're Looking For Reliability is extremely important in this position. When an employee accepts a job , we depend on them to arrive on time and complete the scheduled work. Employees who demonstrate strong attendance, communication and job performance may receive priority for additional jobs as work becomes available.
