Job Summary:
The Production Control Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating the flow of inventory and parts in a Tier 1 auto parts manufacturing environment. This role ensures that materials move efficiently through the production process while maintaining quality standards and accuracy:
Key Responsibilities:
Track Inventory:
Monitor the status and location of inventory and parts throughout the production process to ensure timely availability.
Move Parts:
Transport parts between departments, ensuring they are delivered on schedule to maintain production flow.
Maintain Records:
Keep accurate records of quality reports, invoices, packing slips, and other relevant documentation.
Update Production Status:
Communicate production issues and updates to the production team, ensuring all stakeholders are informed.
Ensure Inventory Accuracy:
Conduct regular checks to maintain the accuracy of factory and floor stock inventory.
Implement Lean Principles:
Utilize lean manufacturing principles to optimize the movement of materials and reduce waste.
Ensure Quality Control:
Verify that packing and transportation meet the company's quality control standards.
Check Health and Safety:
Ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines within the dispatching process.
Scheduling and Routing:
Prepare daily work schedules, assign loads, map locations, and direct routes for efficient dispatching.
Relay Information:
Communicate essential information to work crews, supervisors, and emergency personnel as needed.
Organize Work Requests:
Keep and organize work requests, customer requests, and other relevant information.
Qualifications:
Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Proficiency in data entry and inventory management systems. Excellent communication and active listening abilities. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in a manufacturing or dispatch role is preferred. Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
