This position supports daily construction operations by helping maintain safe, organized, and efficient job sites. The ideal candidate will have traffic control experience, strong knowledge of the island, leadership qualities, and the ability to work effectively in fast-paced outdoor environments. Responsibilities Assist the Quality Control Manager with daily site operations, inspections, and project support. Monitor closures to ensure safety standards and company procedures are being followed. Identify and report hazards, unsafe conditions, or job site concerns. Coordinate with crews and the QC manager to support smooth and efficient operations. Demonstrate leadership and professionalism on active job sites. Support quality control efforts to help projects stay safe, organized, and on schedule. Lead traffic control specialists in the field by setting expectations, maintaining organization, and ensuring safe operations at all times. Leadership Expectations (Traffic Control Oversight) Lead by example by consistently following all safety procedures and MUTCD handbook. Conduct or support daily safety briefings and ensure crew readiness before work begins. Communicate clearly and directly with traffic control specialists, supervisors, and contractors. Ensure proper setup, maintenance, and adjustment of traffic control devices and work zones. Monitor crew performance and maintain accountability while promoting teamwork and professionalism. Stay calm and make effective decisions in fast-changing or high-pressure traffic situations. Train and mentor traffic control staff to improve safety awareness, efficiency, and performance. Maintain strong situational awareness of roadways, traffic flow, and job site conditions across the island. Interact professionally with the public and manage on-site concerns with patience and respect. Requirements Traffic control experience required. Strong leadership and communication skills. Knowledge of the island, including roadways, traffic patterns, and job site locations. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and site conditions. Ability to work in fast-paced environments and adapt to changing conditions. Attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety. Willingness to complete one-on-one training with the Quality Control Manager, Sam. Preferred Qualifications Experience in construction, safety, or quality control environments. Familiarity with construction site safety procedures and protocols. Join our team and play a key role in maintaining safe, efficient, traffic control operations across the island.
Pay:
$25.00 per hour
