Certified Flaggers - Teton Pass & Idaho Road Construction Projects Gem State Staffing in Pocatello is currently seeking Certified Flaggers / Traffic Control Technicians for highway and road construction projects located on Teton Pass, Wyoming , with the majority of work taking place throughout Eastern Idaho . If you're dependable, safety-focused, and ready to work outdoors in a fast-paced construction environment, we'd love to hear from you. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced flaggers looking for steady work with a company that values safety and reliability. Pay- Competitive Pay - DOE (Depending on Experience)
- Per Diem may be available for qualifying assignments Schedule
- Full-Time
- 8-10 hour shifts
- Hours will vary depending on project needs, weather, and job site requirements
- Overtime may be available Job Responsibilities
- Direct traffic safely through construction and roadway work zones
- Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control devices and signage
- Communicate effectively with crew members using radios and hand signals
- Follow all OSHA, DOT, and company safety regulations
- Monitor traffic flow and ensure the safety of motorists, pedestrians, and construction crews
- Perform additional general labor duties as assigned when traffic control is not active Minimum Qualifications
- Current Flagger Certification (Required)
- Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to various job sites
- Willingness to work on projects located on Teton Pass, Wyoming, and throughout Eastern Idaho
- Ability to stand for extended periods in varying weather conditions
- Strong communication skills and attention to safety
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Must be authorized to work in the United States Preferred Qualifications
- Previous traffic control or highway construction experience
- Experience working around heavy equipment and road crews
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk for long periods
- Lift up to 50 pounds as needed
- Work outdoors in changing weather conditions, including heat, wind, rain, and cold
